North
This weekend I headed up to my old home town in northern Ontario for my cousin’s farewell party. I haven’t lived in Sudbury for 10 years and have no desire to ever live there again, but every time I’m in that city my heart aches just a little bit. I love taking the drive up highway 69 anytime of year; the snow covered trees in the winter is breath taking, the changing leaves in the fall is inspiring, and the drive in the summer time is what road trips are all about. I love my big city, but I’ll always be a northern girl at heart. Here are some pics I took of my old ‘hood.

My cousins’ team, The Sudbury Hurricanes.

Deluxe Burgers — a Sudbury staple.

My grandparents many bocce trophies.

The Tot-Lot. 15 years ago, it was a great park.

I used to spend hours climbing these rocks with my friends. There wasn’t as much graffiti though.

Remnants of my old tree house. I can’t believe it’s still (sort of) there!

The stairs leading to my old back yard from the lane way.

Taking a stroll through the lane way.
