Am I crazy late to the magic that is Lisa Eldridge?
Probably.
I’ve spent the last 12 hours on her website watching her videos on beauty products and makeup application. When I saw this picture of Gemma Arterton on her blog I immediately linked to Lisa’s how-to tutorial (and how fitting it is for me that the tutorial be aptly named “No Makeup, Makeup”). If there is any actress out there who perfectly encapsulates my complexion, colouring and makeup style to a T - it would be Gemma.
While I’m glad to not be a person who would rather die before someone saw me without mascara, I do feel that a little effort goes a long way. I’ve always been a bit of a beauty product junkie but when I was in university I went through a no-makeup phase (there were a number of contributors to this…) so I sort of fell off the beauty product bandwagon, but as of late I’ve become a little obsessed again with trying out new products and finding the perfect ones just for me. That being said, as soon as I finish this post (and get out of my pajamas’s) I’m heading to Sephora and Shopper’s Drug Mart to pick me up some new stuff!
